Cornershop – Buckwheat waffle with poached saffron pear, vanilla ice cream and salted caramel, $19.50
We sat down in the heart of Yarraville at the Cornershop and shared the Buckwheat waffle with poached saffron pears for a mid-morning snack. The vibe was cute with comfortable outdoor seating looking onto the local Yarraville scene.
Yarraville Gardens – free
We had a brief stroll around the beautiful Yarraville Gardens, which was cut short as it started raining but would definitely recommend a picnic there on a sunny day!
The Sun Bookshop – free
Once the rain started, we headed to The Sun Bookshop, filled with a great collection of books and genres, from bestsellers to great art books and even a book about foraging.
The Sun Theatre – $27 ($13.50 each)
Next, we stepped into the iconic Sun Theatre. Its Art Deco charm and vibe create a great atmosphere to experience the world of cinema. On Monday and Tuesdays the tickets are $13.50, it’s well worth the visit as after watching George Miller’s Three Thousand Years of Longing, we left the Sun Theatre feeling nothing but inspired.
