WEST SET FESTIVAL THE BUZZ IN MARIBYRNONG

    Date:

The City of Maribyrnong is excited to welcome the return of their beloved winter warmer series of live music events with the third instalment of West Set – a nine-day music festival taking over the inner west this June. West Set is thrilled to support the recovery of live music and local traders, and announce its 2021 participating venues.

The proceedings will kick off at this year’s Festival Club and best kept secret in the west, Baby Snakes – a cosy new European rooftop bar just a hop skip and a jump from Footscray Train Station. Other venues featured in the program include the newest member of the Cherry Bar and Yah Yah’s family, Hotel Westwood which will host West Set’s Opening Night with headliner Angie McMahon and Maple Glider, plus Yarraville’s acclaimed creative hub, cafe, bar and bandroom, Kindred Studios.

Barkly Street hotspots Sloth Bar, Littlefoot, Jambo, The Cheeky Pint and Small French Bar will also join the program, while Corner 90, Pride of Our Footscray and Footscray Hotel will warm up the other end of Hopkins Street. From the team behind Fitzroy’s Builders Arms comes westside watering hole Victoria Hotel, and rounding out the impressive list of West Set venues in 2021 is Hyde Street’s stunning Bluestone Church, and underground beat specialists Counterweight Vinyl.

Participating venues include Hotel Westwood, Baby Snakes, Counterweight Vinyl, Kindred Studios, Littlefoot, Sloth Bar, Pride of Our Footscray, Corner 90, Bluestone Church, Victoria Hotel, Small French Bar, Jambo, The Cheeky Pint, and Footscray Hotel.

West Set runs from Thursday 10th to Sunday 20th June. For tickets to the opening night, the full program and more information visit westsetfestival.com
