Has Trump forgotten that Putin is an indicted War Criminal?
‘Peace for our time’ were the words uttered by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain in 1938. This was just after he and Adolf Hitler signed the Munich Agreement, which gave Hitler control of part of Czechoslovakia. The Munich Agreement was a meeting between Germany, Italy, France and the UK. It should be noted that Czechoslovakia was not a party to this agreement.
They say that history repeats itself and Trump’s discussions with Putin on stopping the war against Ukraine (without Ukraine’s presence) would suggest that this is correct.
U.S. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said a return to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders was unrealistic and the Trump administration does not see NATO membership for Kyiv as part of a solution to the war (triggered by Russia’s invasion). Have the Americans forgotten that Putin is an indicted War Criminal?
Why would these concessions be flagged before discussions have even been held? The Russian economy is falling apart, Russian casualties exceed 1,000 a day and Ukraine is systematically destroying Russia’s oil producing facilities which fund the war.
The West should be defending a rules based World Order. I believe Trump is kicking the can of the war down the road to be addressed later in the same way as Chamberlain did just prior to the outbreak of WW2.
Trump is so transparent. He obviously wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize like Obama did. If he has to throw Ukraine under the bus to achieve this it isn’t a problem for him.

Re: your article on leaf blowing
I find it a crime to see people blowing their leaves down the road into the gutters and into storm water systems and then into the rivers and bays.
When we were young everyone would rake up, mulch and sweep the road and put them in small piles and the council would take them away. We have green bins. Why can people not use them or compost them in their own place and re-use the mulch?
Things like leaf blowers that are imported and need imported petrol, and they make noise and CO2. There must be a better way, and there is. We are just feeding the mass manufacturing companies overseas and the oil companies, and there are lots of other crimes like crushing old classic cars and motorbikes and industrial machines and farm machines and then send them overseas to be melted down and made into some thing that we do not need and sent back here and sold to us, all feeding the greed for profit of the overseas companies.
The old machines were built with pride and precision and built to work and last, including old beautiful sewing machines and domestic items and old knitting needles that are all collectible. Collecting and restoring old items can make for a healthy and happy community, and give people an interest and purpose in collecting and sharing.
Kind thoughts and kind wishes
