The Westsider’s News-stand Art Project is coming to Williamstown! Applications are being sought from artists who would like to transform the news-stand, which is currently a blank (orange) canvas.

Editor of The Westsider Newspaper, Derek Green said: “This will help us ensure the people of Williamstown and surrounds know there’s a place they will always find our paper. It’s here for the people of the inner-west, so making sure its accessible is one of our driving factors.”

The stand will be installed in late August.

Artist’s application deadline is Friday August the 9th 5pm. The application form can be requested via Facebook, or emailing If your organisation would like to participate in the art project by sponsoring a future news-stand, please contact the editor.
