When not submitting environmental articles to The Westsider, Bernadette Thomas is also a volunteer mentor for Women and Mentoring, supporting women to navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system.
“The mentoring takes a non-judgmental approach by providing a mix of practical, emotional, and a physical presence of support in court; basically, whatever each woman needs support with (womenandmentoring.org.au). I also enjoy tree planting and weeding alongside others in the Friends of Stony Creek.”
