    Alfami Café

This year marks our 20th year in business, and never have I been more grateful to be involved in such an amazing community. The last few months have been an emotional struggle for most but the kindness and generosity of all my loyal followers has enabled me to keep my doors open throughout this pandemic. Thank you Seddon for all your love and support. It’s not quite ‘business as usual’, but we are slowly getting there. I definitely feel blessed and one of the lucky ones. Stay safe and well, Chanelle.

An exhaustive renovation and amazing summer of warmth and embrace from the incredible Seddon community and then there has been the last few months for the world!!! What a ride. As we softly step towards the easing of covid-19 restrictions, owner Eamon Walmsley and his team look forward to embracing the flavours of winter and introduce some new and exciting tasting dinners, guest spots in the kitchen and opening in full bloom in time for a very, very well-earned spring for all! Our content is a labour of love, crafted by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the west. We encourage submissions from our community, particularly stories about your own experiences, family history, local issues, your suburb, community events, local history, human interest stories, food, the arts, and environmental matters. Below are articles created by community contributors. You can find their names in the bylines.

    Did you know?

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.

If you loved reading this article please consider donating to the Westsider. Support from you gives local writers an outlet and ensures an independent voice can be found in the west.
