    WRATH OF MAN

    Date:

Guy Ritchie directs this revenge fueled movie starring revenge film specialist Jason Statham.

It begins with what seems to be a normal money delivery in an armored truck, but soon ends in disaster. Jason Statham then appears applying for a job at the cash transport company, and immediately seems too good at his job. This movie feels almost exactly like the majority of revenge-themed movies, so if you’re not a fan then might be best to steer clear of this one – and the way this is written sort of killed it for me, with the back and forth jumping through time without much context made things confusing. The action sequences were really good and entertaining, but if your selling point for the entire film was just action and gore then your audience is not expecting anything decent. This film could have been great but the whole plot of the movie has been done. Jason Statham is superb in this as he always is, that stern cold face with no emotion is perfect for the role – the movie would have been a flop without him. All in all I got what I expected – I was entertained. Some scenes left me in awe and others simply confused. It is a good movie but nothing special.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
