Westsider Radio highlights

Dear Westsider readers

Much of the world’s attention right now is on North America, tuning in to see which country will be the last one standing to win the World Cup. Understandable. However, back here there are far weightier matters to focus on: will the Doggies make the AFL finals? Can they go all the way? Do they even have a chance next weekend?

There will be many self-appointed experts, pundits and punters ready to tell you they know the answers to these questions. Don’t waste your time, go instead to the One-Eyed Dog on Westsider Radio every Tuesday evening at 8pm. From the heart of Footscray Guy Sigley, David Sigley and Cameron Smith unpack each weekend’s game with a look to the future and the occasional look back at the past. Though they make no claim to being anything other than totally biased, their prognostications on the Western Bulldogs and our own Beautiful Game is great banter and fun.

Bringing her own banter and fun to Westsider Radio is Fiona Scott Norman with her fortnightly show Westside Stories. With her finger on the pulse of the vibrant arts scene that’s found, she says, here on ‘the right side of the other river,’ Fiona’s passion and support for the performing arts has her show pulling together interviews with established and emerging artists, listings and live performances.

The next edition of Westside Stories is July 9 at 10am and 7pm.

Finally, visit the Westsider Radio website, and there, as you click across various tabs you’ll see other shows that are part of our on-air and listen-back offerings. With more to come.

Happy listening.
