When Veronica Perez started her venture into the fashion industry as a volunteer, she was quickly recognised for her acute sense of style and skills as a runway coach and events coordinator. So when she decided to launch her own brand, the industry was quick to respond, applauding her label that fuses her Latin American heritage with indigenous and contemporary urban street styles.

Currently residing in Derrimut with her youngest son (of three), Veronica is no stranger to living life on the spontaneous side and thriving. Her family has lived in the west for over 12 years.

Driven by all things creative, and work that benefits the community, she has dwelled in many initiatives over the years from volunteering, dancing, designing jewellery to managing a plethora of events.

She spent years volunteering and performing as part of an award-wining dance crew, PoisE’n Bollypop, and supported many community events such as ‘Welcome to AFL’ and Miss Latina Australia.

After years of supporting others and being a full-time mum, Veronica has finally stepped out of her comfort zone and launched her own fashion label, Supernova Collection Co. – a brand that strongly reflects her own personal style; flamboyant and charismatic.

Supernova captures the essence of individuality and self-expression, embodying a genderless and inclusive ethos where everyone is welcomed. It allows her customers to be bold and creative. Pieces that can be mixed and matched, where more is always better.

She recently presented at Cairns Fashion Week 2024 where she unveiled her latest collection entitled ‘La Rosa Negrita’, a vibrant homage to the retro aesthetic which seamlessly blends the boldness of black with the playful charm of pink. Each item bursts with bold colours, featuring striking print and dynamic silhouettes.

Veronica’s journey is a testament to resilience, as she balances motherhood with her entrepreneurial spirit, transforming her creative vision into a brand that not only empowers but also celebrates diversity in fashion.
