You know when you walk into a venue and you’re just like “Ahh….I belong here”?

Welcome to the newest West Side venue that gives you that feeling.

La Bodega is located in Williamstown, a suburb that has been craving a Craft Beer space for years (trust me, I have been trying!) The point of difference for this space is that it is a Barber Shop by day (Mon-Sat) but on Friday and Saturday afternoons, it becomes a bespoke and cosy bar.

Now, Williamstown is quite stacked with pubs, however the market needs somewhere that you can go and support local, Australian, independent breweries. The fridges here are stocked with over 70 beer, cider and seltzer options, as well as some non-alcoholic beers for the DDs. A continuing rotation of new brews from smaller, less-known breweries is something that the owners plan to stock to entice customers in to try something new.

Expect to see tastings from breweries, live music, games and events coming from their social media (@labodega3016). Happy Hours and 10% off take-away 4-packs are also on offer.

1 Cole Street, Williamstown. No bookings necessary.
Fridays from 6, Saturdays from 3. BYO food.

Our content is a labour of love, crafted by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the west. We encourage submissions from our community, particularly stories about your own experiences, family history, local issues, your suburb, community events, local history, human interest stories, food, the arts, and environmental matters. Did you know?

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
