    HOLI FESTIVAL DELIGHTS AGAIN

    Date:

The Holi festival returned to West Footscray attracting more than 6,000 visitors and leaving none disappointed.

The large performance stage featured an array of diverse and talented local groups and performers and, as usual, the throwing of the colours was the highlight. Every face in the crowd beamed joy and no doubt folks took away some beautiful memories, and colourful clogged ears!

Pradeep Tiwari, President of the West Footscray Traders Association, says Holi is becoming The Festival of West Footscray. It’s already the biggest street colour party in Victoria and it defines who we are in the western suburbs; a diverse and multicultural community embracing all cultures and celebrating them in grandeur!

Next year’s festival is sure to be bigger and better than ever.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
