Footscray Community Arts and Plenary Health have partnered to present Faces of Footscray, a community arts project featuring eight large-scale portraits of hospital staff, volunteers and community members.
The photographic portrait series is located on the hoarding of the New Footscray Hospital site at Geelong Road and features the work of director and producer Mika Tran and photographer Thuy Vy.

Professor Vasso Apostolopoulos
A world-renowned researcher and immunologist from Victoria University who was born at Footscray Hospital. A trailblazer in her field, Vasso was the first in the world to develop a novel method for the immunotherapy for cancer in the early 1990’s, which today is used by hundreds of labs around the world.
