Join Us for a Litter Blitz at Caroline Chisholm Park!
LOCATION: Meet near the corner of Flora Street and Old Calder Highway, beside Crustionis Pizza.
Help us launch a new Maribyrnong River and Waterways Association Litter Blitz program and make a positive difference in your local environment.
We’ll be cleaning along Flora Street and the surrounding parklands, an area that has been progressively restored by Friends of Maribyrnong Valley and Brimbank City Council.
Come along to enjoy the river views, see the revegetation works, meet like-minded community members, and help remove litter before it reaches our waterways.
All welcome. Pets on leads are welcome too.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, bring your own gloves and water bottle. We’ll provide litter grabbers, bags and arrange rubbish collection.
Interested in organising a clean-up with your community or corporate group? We’d love to hear from you.

The Westsider is an incorporated association operating as a not for profit. We’re an independent monthly community newspaper for the inner-western suburbs of Melbourne, powered by community journalism and publishing articles written by people who live and work in the inner west. The Westsider is run on the power of volunteers. Your contribution directly contributes to ensuring we can continue serving and celebrating our community.
The Westsider is created on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
