Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop – Seddon

    Date:

This month I’m reviewing one of the newest op shops on the block. While not technically new to the area, having previously been located just a few stores down, the Epilepsy Foundation Op Shop in Seddon has been massively upgraded.

The new two storey location is huge and the vastness of its stock really blew me away. The bottom level features women’s fashion with an amazing range of jeans, fancy dresses, jewellery and more. I was wandering around this bottom level alone for about 40 minutes!

With the spring racing season over there were many gorgeous fascinators for sale, which I loved!

Another feature which I really appreciated were the change rooms. Some op shops don’t really have great change rooms, if any, but these ones were really spacious, with big mirrors and curtains which offered a really comfortable experience.

Heading upstairs led me to more amazing goodies to search through, with beautiful coats and jackets, and, my favourite of all, the shoes!

There was a wall with shelf after shelf, stocked full with stunning shoes, many that are currently on trend; gorgeous ballet flats and some really cute kitten heels too.

The men’s section, also located on level two, is great too. They had stylish basic T-shirts, button up shirts, and a terrific range of jeans with good quality denim which can often be hard to find.

Surprisingly, the store also boasts an impressive collection of mens formal wear with heaps of three-piece suits and some fancy shoes too!

If you’re after books, DVDs, or CDs and board games you won’t be disappointed! Definitely a great place to come to to get your house stocked with fun games and find yourself a new book for summer reading.

As this op shop is literally a two minute walk from Middle Footscray station it’s a super easy one for Westsiders to visit. The only real issue is there’s no way to get to the second level, except by the stairs, making it inaccessible for people with disability.

Like a lot of the other op shops I’ve written about, this one is owned by a foundation. The Epilepsy Foundation donates their profits to help support people with epilepsy and has many op shops all around Melbourne, with the majority of their staff being volunteers.

I really loved this op shop and will definitely be revisiting.
