2016 marks 25 years of Williamstown Women’s choir, Willin Wimmin. In that 25 years we’ve had over 1000 rehearsals, over 200 performances, 5 directors, performed over 260 songs with over 250 women!
To commemorate the milestone, the choir is inviting all current and former members to join them in celebrating on the 20th of August at the South Kingsville Community Centre.
For years the choir has been giving voice and community to women, and has spread joy to thousands of audiences at impressive events such as: National Art Gallery Victoria, The Windsor Hotel, Federation Square and Melbourne Town hall.
Current members, lead by Steph Payne, are reviving songs from years gone by to sing at the event. They are encouraging all current and former members to reminisce on old photos, music, performances and most importantly, old friends.
Anyone who’d like to be apart of the special evening is encouraged to get in touch. Also welcomed, are other entertaining acts that wish to perform. Did you ever have a small group that sprang from Willin Wimmin time? Time to get the band back together! Or perhaps you’d like to do a solo act?
