What is the most important issue facing your electorate?
Growth verses Environment. And always in the foreground, prioritising expenditure.
Should/how can Council support local businesses?
Council should support local business. Adjusting certain policies and procedures which apply to existing and developing businesses can offer low to no cost assistance.
Should/how can Council support local creatives and industries?
Council should support local creative industry – from connecting people to the existing network right through to developing what I hope will be a museum, gallery and performing arts centre at the old Footscray Hospital.
Should/how can Council help alleviate the impact of climate extremes on local communities and ecosystems?
Council should help alleviate the impact of climate extremes, by improving its capacity to respond to certain challenges, like flood, and at the same time have contingencies in place for any potential/predictable events.
Should/how can Council help alleviate cost of living and homelessness?
Council should help alleviate cost of living and homelessness. Council needs to set high standards of economy, which in turn should lead to lower service costs to households. Providing help to the homeless and the many organisations which are a part of the support network is an ongoing necessity/responsibility of council.
What should Council stop spending money on?
Unnecessary surveys and reviews.
Should the public be allowed to ask live, unscripted questions of councillors during council meetings?
No. That type of discussion could be conducted in a more suitable forum of public debate.

My vision for the Maribyrnong municipality, encompasses a progressive and balanced approach, by pausing further high-density developments in order for our unique river, lake and wetlands, greenspaces and parklands to thrive and keep pace with urbanisation, creating sustainable and healthier outcomes for the community.
