YARRAVILLE COMMUNITY CENTRE IS READY AND RARING TO GO FOR THE NEW NORMAL

    Date:

The focus for The Yarraville Community Centre will revolve around reconnecting with the community with a ‘new normal’ approach in 2022.

Even in a pandemic, YCC and the community have worked together demonstrating resilience and strength to meet the ongoing challenges of COVID-19.

This year, YCC has delivered over 3000 free meals to the local community through their food relief program, The Nourish Project, and provided education to almost 450 students online.

Term 4 is no exception, YCC is currently offering a range of diverse and affordable short courses and community programs to help the community reconnect and prepare for a thriving 2022.

“Our community has embraced our modified online programs and services this year to reconnect in new ways, and we are optimistic and excited about the return to in-person learning and a ‘new normal’ in 2022, said CEO Christine McCall.

Currently, there is a range of informative and fun online short courses and workshops available for all ages and abilities including a variety of sustainable workshops, health and wellbeing classes and school holiday programs.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
