    THE BAD BATCH

    Date:

I have been looking forward to this Disney+ series for quite some time.

The ‘Bad Batch’, a group of enhanced clones, was introduced at the back end of the Clone Wars series. I was a little sad because they brought characters into the franchise that I immediately fell in love with and then that was it, but not long after it was announced that they will get their own series. Now if you want to watch this series but do not want to be confused by the back story, the good news is that Disney+ has collected a few episodes from the Clone Wars for you to catch up on. The best part about both Clone Wars and now The Bad Batch is that it’s not just a kid’s show, somehow adults may relate to more. The series begins immediately after the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, but more importantly the transition after order 66. So far this series has been solid, the new characters are exciting and a few cameos are always welcome. Regardless if you’re a fan of Star Wars or not, you will enjoy this. It is also really interesting to have a Star Wars series that doesn’t revolve around Jedi’s; look at Rogue One – great movie no Jedi. Definitely a show for the whole family, especially the big kids.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
