    Visual arts is where global dialogue is powerfully reflected and challenged. Recent years have sparked a significant reckoning in the arts, prompting critiques of power dynamics through a decolonised lens. In recent years, First Nations artists have confronted the legacies of capitalism, colonialism, and oppression by creating unique spaces for their community’s voices to be heard. There’s a noticeable shift with contemporary visual artists expanding their influential thinking into the world of publishing, centering Indigenous perspectives to recontextualise records of past, present, and future stories.
