CWA Footscray produce stall

Date:

At the recent State Exhibition in Kyabram, the CWA Footscray had the opportunity to enter their baked goods, preserves and craft. They had 10 members, including some juniors, participate in the statewide event.

With a total of twelve 1st places, four 2nd places and three 3rd places, it was a very successful event that included a very special award – the Individual Aggregate for Junior Members Home Industries awarded to Ivy Gordon.

The Community Bank Seddon will be hosting its annual CWA Footscray Produce Stall throughout September. The members are fantastic jammers, bakers and creative crafters and we hope to have stocks of the 1st prize winning marmalade, raspberry jam and cauliflower pickle (last year’s 1st prize) available at the stall.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
