In 2022, The Yarraville Community Centre (YCC) is proud to be offering a range of courses for adult learners to gain the core skills needed for employment.
From foundational English courses through to nationally recognised qualifications that will lead to employment, it is YCC’s goal to provide opportunities and support for people to develop their education and training goals.
Right now the aged care, disability, education and construction industries are set to boom as our ‘new normal’ comes to life creating a pipeline of work and fantastic job opportunities.
There’s never been a better time to start your pathway to employment, and Yarraville Community Centre aims to help students take advantage of these opportunities.
You may be interested in studying a course at YCC to help you join the workforce for the first time, re-enter the workforce after a break, upgrade your skills in a chosen field, change career paths or enter higher education.
“We offer a range of government funded accredited and pre-accredited training programs in a number of locations in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The Yarraville Community Centre offers:
- English courses to prepare adults learning English as an additional language for a range of educational and vocational pathways.
- Computer courses aiming to provide students with digital literacy skills for employment.
- Pre-accredited courses with a focus on aged care, community services and construction industries in term 1 of 2022. These courses provide opportunities for adult learners to gain the educational capacity and core skills they need for study, work and life.
- Accredited courses are a national qualification recognised by government. YCC accredited courses will focus predominately on aged care, school based education support and community services in term 1 of 2022.
