LAY LOW’S COCKTAIL OF THE MONTH

Date:

Mental Health Day

45ml Bourbon (we use Buffalo Trace)

20 ml Tempus Fugit Creme de Cacao (chocolate liqueur)

20ml Branca Menta (mint amaro)

45ml fresh orange juice
We shake and strain this into a cocktail glass, but it works just as well served in a tumbler over ice.

Originally designed to use up the excess oranges we had after using the peels for Negronis and Old Fashioneds, this is a guilty pleasure cocktail; it tastes like every flavour of choc top at once. If you can get Branca Menta it’s the best option, but Creme de Menthe, or just putting a bunch of mint in, will work as well.

It's hard to find local stories because major news suppliers have economised by cutting local journalism. In addition, social media algorithms mean we have to work doubly hard to be seen.
