    Yarraville Community Centre is a Learn Local provider, registered with the Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) board in Victoria. YCC offers various courses which help learners acquire essential skills for study, work or life. 

    Whether you want to improve your digital literacy skills, or you want to explore new subjects, Learn Local courses provide accessible training. The great aspect of these Learn Local courses is that they also cater to various needs and skill levels. 

    Areas of study include building and construction, community services, aged care, adult education as well as numerous digital and language literacy classes. Courses such as Digital Essentials will take participants through topics such as computer basics, internet usage, online communication and the fundamentals of digital skills. The duration of these topics of study can vary depending on the curriculum and area of learning being undertaken. With the flexibility of being able to choose from one of Yarraville Community Centre’s locations within Maribyrnong. Learn Local courses are fully subsidised by the government, making them completely free of charge. 

    Pre-accredited courses offered can also lead to pathways into areas of further study, such as the Certificate III in Community Services or the Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability). Certifications in these highly in-demand employment sectors are also offered at YCC with free tuition in 2024.
