Adult Learners Week is celebrated annually with hundreds of events and activities designed to promote the benefits of life-long learning and to highlight the many options available at home, work or in the community.

The aim is to celebrate adult learning and to build awareness of the various opportunities that are available across Australia.  Adult Learning Australia, the peak body for adult and community education coordinates the adult learner’s week.

The theme for this year ‘s week- long celebration is: It’s never too late to learn.

YCC will celebrate this annual event with free workshops, Kokedama Introduction and Brush Calligraphy on 6 September 6–7.30pm. On Friday 1 September at our Francis St venue and Tuesday 5 September at our Victoria St venue, our English language students will celebrate with bring a friend day.  Morning tea will be provided and art work by the students will be exhibited.
