West Welcome Wagon supports asylum seekers and refugees living in Melbourne’s west through the provision of good quality donations, food relief, education supplies and community engagement.
This time last year they moved into their second warehouse. This additional space has meant they can help even more refugees and asylum seekers, supporting over 1,400 households to date.
Their warehouses are vital to what they do. They are the central hub of our organisation that allows them to accept the generous offers of donations from the community and provide an area for their volunteers to sort, clean, package and distribute those generous gifts out to those they support. They enable WWW to continue to grow and increase the number of people they support, but they can’t do that without you. The warehouses come with significant costs to keep them running and as many would know, it is hard to get funding to cover things like warehouse rent.
“Now more than ever, local asylum seeker and refugee households need goods that will support their family to thrive against the isolating and financially constricting effects of COVID-19.”

Chief Executive Officer
Please consider donating today so they can continue to assist the many, many people still in need.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, each donation made before 31 July (or until $25,000 is reached) will be doubled, so your dollars will have twice the impact.
They would also love to hear from any local businesses who can support them through material aid or financial support.
