MINDFUL MOMENT – THE HOLIDAY PERIOD (DON’T DENY, ENJOY!)

    Date:

    By Lisa Price

Take the time to stop and respond rather than react this holiday period when presented with the abundance of food on offer. Do not deny yourself something that you really enjoy, rather slow down and savour it.

Enjoy the look, the smell, and taste each bite. Try not to take food absent-mindedly. Take a moment to stop and decide if you really want it. If the answer is yes, go for it and enjoy.

This mindful practice of slowing down, being present in the moment as you chew each bite may stop you from over eating during the many gatherings.
